Submerged

Unrealistic, horrible acting and reenacting, making a complete joke out of a very serious subject, the crew members wouldn't have fit in the actual Hunley. All scenes involving water or seagoing vessels and explosions were cartoonish at best. Actors had no enthusiasm at all like they could barely read and it was all from a comic book. The thing that really bothered me was putting "actors" that weighed 300lbs plus in the Hunley, they could never have fit, please have a little respect for the historical event you are trying to recreate. This was not only a major defining moment for the C. S and U. S. Navy but for the world I feel like it could have been treated as a more srious project or if unable to do so, as they apparently were, just leave it alone instead of creating such an embarrassment.

Overall, a pretty good flick, but...it is close to accurate, with some dramatization, of course, which is needed.

The actors lacked excitement whether in a prostitute's den or being thrown to the wolves of war-the reaction was the same. The actors appeared under duress during some of the dialogue, not engaging, and monotone in nature.

The sound was lacking, but that may have been budgetary.

Overall, I commend the effort to bring forth such an issue that is hardly known to the public with what appears as good writing. And the actors for stepping outside their comfort zone.

Yes, the green screen was silly at times, but at least it has character, unlike most CGI-d films now.
