Watch it if you want a good laugh...my wife and I were cackling at the unrealistic dialogue, delivery and situations.
This guy clearly had some cash and wanted to make a movie...and he fell into all the typical vanity project traps, making himself the hero, loved by everyone (even by his ex-wife) and host of his own talk show...which also happens to be the most popular talk show in the United States...
The script has no sense of anything...
The opening is supposed to cover an episode of his talk show.
Without cuts or an indication of time skipping ahead, it's about 4 minutes from the start to the end of the episode.
Anyways. Go watch it. It's funny bad.

I didn't continue the movie because I don't enjoy Christian based films. That doesn't mean I live a life of debauchery. Lol. Believe it or not, there are lots of good people and good families that aren't Christian. You aren't being persecuted and the US was not created by "God", any more than any other nation. We are not better than nor more deserving than any other country. People can say what they like, we are still free (so far) and if your religion is so fragile that you take offense when someone else doesn't believe it, your faith must not be all that strong.
Consider that there are other religions and they are good people. There are non-religious people, who do good things and take care of people and cause no harm because it's the right thing to do, no because of some fear of reward or punishment.

This movie has been slammed with bad reviews. I completely disagree. Yes the guy has money in this movie, so what? People can't have money and a heart?! The premise of this movie unfortunately is true in so many couples' lives. Work takes presidence over relationships. Our pride gets in the way of realizing our faults and how we need to change to love others the way we should, unconditionally and unselfishly, putting the precious people in our lives 1st. This guy realizes with the help of an Angel (also exist) to realize he needs to put his wife and family 1st in every way. No matter the consequences. Fortunately it's not too late, wife and kids respond, and their family gets back on track to be a family again. They'll have to continue on this path for the rest of their lives. The movie can't go on forever to reveal there will be more setbacks, mistakes, and reconciliations. That's the hard work of relationships.
I don't often comment on movies, but this one moved me deeply. Over 50% of all US marriages end in divorce, and it's often due to a series of poor choices made over days or weeks-choices to neglect or ignore the other person. I've been guilty of that myself. This movie inspired me to be a better husband, to cherish the moments that truly matter. The acting was impressive across the board, and the directors and writers did an incredible job keeping the film clean, wholesome, and powerful. I'm grateful to everyone who made this movie possible. It's a must-watch, and I give it a well-deserved 10 out of 10. Let this film inspire you too-take the time to watch it and reflect on what truly matters in your relationships.
It came on Amazon Prime right after Granchester and my wife and I got sucked into watching it.
It is so hokey and ridiculously unrealistic. It borrows heavily from It's a Wonderful Life and Back to the Future but does so poorly and with heavy religious overtones. Blech. I hate sappy, moralistic movies where people say things and comport themselves like no other human I've ever known.
If you're a normal, non-believer kind of person, you're gonna laugh at how ridiculous the dialogue and behavior of the characters are. I would normally say this is 1:25 of my life that I would really like to have back but my wife and I groaned and laughed so much it was an enjoyable time. But not for the reason the filmmaker intended.
