I honestly don't understand how this has such a low rating, it is one of the best Korean serial killer thrillers I have seen since the Vengeance trilogy. The acting, cinematography, writing and pace were all excellent. It had me hooked from the first episode. It is shocking in places, so maybe not everyone's cup of tea but to give it a 3 is just unwarranted. It does present some difficult themes so don't watch if you are expecting the typical Korean Netflix show. I hope to see more tv shows and movies of this calibre from Korean cinema as they have a unique feel to them that you just don't get from Hollywood or most European cinema.
I give Somebody a 9 and would highly recommend to anyone that is looking for a good adult Korean show to binge watch.

Personally I think this series isn't something everyone would love to watch. When it comes to making kdrama with psychic thriller concept the creators need to be really careful with what they are putting up on the screen. Some scene portraited in the series can be extremely sensitive to some people. Since we don't get to see much kdrama with such intensive act shown by the actors, this series definitely paved a new path in the kdrama industry. The cinematography and so was the story line as it showed diversity by dopting many things from the pop culture and applying them creatively. And the last thing I would want to say is that if you really want to watch the series then watch it full, don't leave in mid way or skip scenes.
The show was good and bad at the same time. First i want to say that i love the acting, all the actors did a very great job and you could see that they all had talent and knew what they were doing. I also like the storyline but i couldn't watch this show without rewinding it because it was just so slow. There was also a lack of character development especially the serial killer guy they didn't show us why he killed those ppl, they also didn't gave him a backstory like all the other characters. And there were many unnecessary scenes that made the show slow. This show is not everyones cup of tea and that's completely okay but i wish that they just didn't made this show so slow. In my opinion they should've made this a movie but with better character development.
I cannot believe the low 5.7 rating for this. As thrillers go, this one is excellent. There is a subtle rage within the bad guy that comes across threateningly on screen, enough to make you wonder what he will do, which is the essence of a good thriller is it not? The cinematography adds to the atmosphere, shadows, darkness and sometimes just the sheer lack of dialogue adds wholesomely to the tension.
I would only criticise a few aspects of a couple of characters but I will not divulge anything more except to say that one character, for her job, does something remarkably stupid. I'll let viewers discover what for themselves.
The music score is very good and almost makes we want to have a listen on Deezer or something similar. The acting is very good, realistically scripted and the bedroom scenes are very risque for Korean shows. Should be more!
Don't pay any attention to the low rating. Give this a go, it's only 8 episodes and it should be well worth your time.

I am in the "How can people rate this so low" crowd. This was definitely one of the best Korean drama's I've seen all year!
I will agree with some who say the last few episodes weren't so compelling. But overall, this is very well executed. The cinematography, acting, original premise, I was able get into it like a tailor made sleeve.
I love the soundtrack with the 8 bit stuff and how the protagonist (but is she?) mixes old tech with new tech at her home and office. Because honestly, new tech isn't always better than what came before. That also aligns with her mental condition; people with Asperger Syndrome tend to not care what others think. Read this again to understand why she does what she does and doesn't.
Some reviewers don't understand her actions or the "stupidity" of Kim Sun, and think her mental condition is falsely portrayed. Remember that she has never known real love before, on top of her mental condition. The antagonist is truly creepy, and yes, his background is somewhat vague, but I find that it adds to his condition. They also explore nature vs nurture here, so I don't think you can say they don't try to find reasons for his sick mind. And honestly, I didn't really care that much about his origins. Some people just are this way.
Another reason why I think this score is so low/polarized is that a lot of Koreans and perhaps people from other conservative cultures rated this and simply found it to be too explicit. Seriously, people rated this a 1 to 3? That seems like a knee-jerk emotional reaction from people who aren't used to thrillers like this. So perhaps this one is a hit more for western viewers? Just a theory.
