It was pretty good until a little over halfway then it just fell completely apart. Out of nowhere it made zero sense.
In one scene the main characters were all together, doing what they do, in broad daylight at an abandoned building. Then,in the very next scene, it's almost dark and the woman is all alone, jogging in a different abandoned building. She made multiple stupid choices that no woman alone, after dark, in an abandoned building, would make.
What happened?? It just was completely without context, and had no believable actions. There was no explanation why she was alone somewhere else and nothing she did was reasonable. I was mad about the time I spent watching it. It felt like I got bamboozled.
Maybe two different directors, who didn't talk to each other, cobbled this together?
I give it 6/10 because the first part, before the weird split, made sense and kept my interest.

Even with the low score and mixed reviews, the trailer caused me to give this a chance, but unfortunately the trailer contains the only good parts of this film. To it's credit for a low budget production it did get some points right. It's well shot and the sound production is excellent as is the soundtrack. The acting isn't bad, but it's obvious English is the second language for 2 of it's main cast and I found their dialogue difficult to understand. The giant failure of the movie is the lackluster script. The idea behind it was great, even loved the ending, but to make a movie entertaining you need a compelling script, scenes that add suspense, and thrills. As a horror movie this is a near complete failure. I struggled to stay awake. There is not one scene that stands out. The writing and directing destroyed what was a good idea for a horror film.
"It was a first time for them, so no negative feedback!"
"It wasn't amazing, but it wasn't bad, either."
"Clearly it was low budget."
Yes, yes, all of the typical butthurt fake reviews from select cast and crew members. None by any who were paid to give a positive review, because the producers certainly couldn't afford it.
This had to have been made by tech nerds, for tech nerds, to try and make everyone think that tech nerds are actually really cool, and not complete losers. The acting is terrible, the plot makes no sense, the effects and attempted scares are cheap and predictable, and all of the characters are awful people. If you can relate to them, you need to reflect on your life.
The director seemed to ban three things from this movie: Sense, talent, and masculinity.

Potential Story Poor Execution
Okay I couldn't watch this movie for more than 20 minutes because every scare that they try to do is just pulling someone into the darkness it's really dumb it's one of the cheapest effects you could come up with it's not scary there's no atmosphere they have potential for atmosphere but they never pull it off they rush it they open the oven too soon and the cake Falls before it even gets cooking but it has so much potential to be an interesting story and there's even potential for a meaningful story with the relationship of the girlfriend who died in the car accident and the use of VR there's so much potential but it's always wasted and there's such a there's no scares it's really poorly made and I understand why it has a 3.7 I rated a 3 I couldn't even watch more than 20 minutes because they really are so bad at it's trying to scare people and I understand they had a very low budget but they don't even really make an effort at all and there's no creativity in the scares whatsoever so I would have to recommend people give this one a complete pass.

This movie was made by nobodies and first-timers, on obviously no budget. For that it's actually quite good. Yes it's rough around the edges. But then it's a horror movie so it doesn't really have to make perfect sense.
As for the plot: Young techie types find old hardware that can make ghosts visible. Ghosts don't appreciate that very much. Bring in burned-down place with plenty of ghosts in it and go for it.
It's certainly on par with other horror movies that don't quite work despite having 100 times the budget and big names attached to them. Ghost Project's makers' next project will be much more polished and it's a workable first effort to be honest. The basics are all there, some well executed (jump scares and general mood mostly work), some not so much (love scenes only work if there was chemistry between the characters before it - but big movies make that mistake too).
As I said. Don't be cruel. A for effort.
