On a mission to find a New Wrapper to join the Yiannimize family, hundreds submitted videos online. The Production Team received entries from all over the UK, including some submissions from international fans as far as South Africa. Only a limited number of applicants could be chosen and invited to the in-person Auditions, where they would be challenged to wrap either a Wing Mirror Cap, Petrol Flap or Door Handle in just 5 mins whilst being interrogated by the show's Hosts and Judges.
40 candidates were tested under extreme pressure and only the very best world be advance into The Drafts, before being Split into two teams. The Red Shirts (Becky Asher, Naomi Hills, Mason Sullivan, Jarvis Wright, Panayiotis 'The Chef' Avraam) led by Yianni Charalambous & Nicco Dela Cruz aka YianNicco, and the Blue Shirts (Thomas Campbell, Radu Ionut Moreanu, Jonathan 'Rusty Phats' Muzsla, Lawrie White, Rickia Williams) captained by Bert Hussein & Mark Dela Cruz aka Bark. After a successful public poll, the online votes saw Peter "I'm Number One" Steel, and Adam 'Professor Wraps' Patel, being voted in as Wild Cards.
The Top 12 were given a crash course Training by a industry leading specialist, gifted a range of amazing goodies from Sponsors (Juicy Details, Neilsen Tools, DeWALT, Epidemic Sound), before battling it out for a life changing full time Contract and Cash Prize.
Whilst working on high end vehicles, the early rounds saw contestants participating in timed trials, wrapping car doors and front-wings in premium wrapping films from Avery Dennison. The competition then heated up as the remaining finalists were tasked to use material too narrow to cover an entire bonnet, encouraging candidates to tackle cutting tape (aka knife less tape) for the first time, before being paired with their opposition in the Semi-Finals and forced to use a flip colour vinyl, that can only be laid successfully in one direction.
After proving themselves as the two strongest well-rounded wrappers, Becky and Thomas were chosen to clash in the Ultimate Challenge, using Conform Chrome film to wrap a luxury i8 Roadster. Leaving the comfort of Yiannimize HQ, the Grand Final took place at BMW Park Lane, in-front of an Live Audience and Streamed Online to 130,000 Viewers.
