Watermark???
Seriously there's a watermark...I mean I know I can't expect much with low budget films but THAT I do not expect. Glad it's free, otherwise I'd be pissed. I'm only 9 min in. As soon as I saw the watermark I came right to IMDb because I knew I couldn't be the only one. Idk if I can continue, I'm gonna do my best to suffer through. But yes there's a watermark guys. And yes it's low budget so don't expect much. Just read the reviews though most talk about the watermark, ha, go figure.
This is probably one of the only movies out of many to see a blatant shutterstock watermark in the background as an establishing shot.
I swear I am not kidding you, this is real.
Like did anyone see it? Please anyone- have- have you seen it??

Watchable, but nothing outstanding...
Stumbling upon the 2013 movie "Friend Request" by random chance here in 2025, and never having heard about it and thus obviously also never seen the movie, of course I opted to give the movie a fair chance.
Writers Jason Falasco and Raghava Tiruvaipati didn't exactly pen down the most riveting and exciting of scripts and storyline. Sure, it was a watchable enough movie for what it turned out to be, but it just wasn't anything extraordinary or particularly memorable.
Of the entire cast ensemble, I was only familiar with Martin Kove and Richard Riehle. The acting performances in "Friend Request" were fair.
Hardly a movie that I would recommend to fans of the thriller genre, nor a movie that will ever play a second time on my screen.
My rating of directors Mario DeAngelis and Jason Falasco's 2013 movie "Friend Request" lands on a generous three out of ten stars.

Just pay for your stock photos guys
The only reason to watch this trash is so when you get to 8:07minutes you can rewind and laugh with the rest of us when you realise the "police station" has SHUTTERSTOCK written over it. It surely can't cost that much for 3 seconds of stock video?
The only reason I watched the rest of the film was to see if I could find anything else to laugh at. One scene did, I'm no doctor but I'm not sure a crash cart is going to be much help for a slit throat. Everything about this film is just so bad. I hate myself for suffering through it. If you feel the need to punish yourself, you'll find this on Amazon Prime.

- TriviaAt the 8 minute 6 second mark, you can see a Shutter stock watermark on screen. It happens again around the 1 hour and 10 minute mark as well.
