Amazing story of perseverance (with great performances)

My wife and I haven't stopped talking about Lee Fields since we watched this. Why have we never heard of this guy? The documentary solves that mystery and inspires me to keep working on my own dreams. Lee Fields is an incredibly soulful singer who can also nail funk. Will watch again next time I need an uplift.

One of the most moving scenes was watching Fields sing along with himself on the car radio. You can really see how hard he has worked to perfect his craft and how much his music means to him. It really shows that no matter how many setbacks you face, if your passion comes from your soul, it cannot be stopped.

The beginning where Lee Fields is ironing his stage outfit in a hotel room contrasted to his wild performance onstage sets the tone for this inspiring story of stick-to-itiveness. His passion for funk and soul carries him through everything: the caprice of fads, the cutthroat music business, personal tragedies, and money problems. This really proves it'd never too late to make your dreams come true. It will make you want to triumph in your own life. I've been listening to Lee Field's music ever since I saw this. Watch this if you want to be inspired to chase your own dreams. What a life, what a story.
