Because the entire movie was shot for only $25,000 the cast and crew had to actually sleep in tents on location as the production could not afford hotel rooms during the shooting of the film.
Director Rob Willey, producer Rean McKinley and actors Eliot Bayne and Rob Abbate all met each other while working as waiters and bartenders at The Old Spaghetti Factory in Victoria, British Columbia. The kitchen and service area of the restaurant are featured at the beginning of the film.
