Different Point of View

As might be expected after so many years, when James Whale published his autobiography "Almost A Celebrity" in 2007, some of the dates and events got a little muddled in his recollections.

James had got parts of this episode confused with Christmas Show (1994), a Christmas special where Screaming Lord Sutch had performed with his hat on fire. Afterwards James claimed that Sutch had given him a gift of a jacket, an occurrence that actually took place in this episode of The James Whale Radio Show instead.

James recalled: "Screaming Lord Sutch was a great guy - he even had a gift for me that night. He'd brought back from America a jacket that he'd picked out especially for me. It was covered in embroidered whales."
