    fishy story

It's like this. The "line of the week" is not exactly "catch of the day" so this fishy story was all at sea with me. But the main set-up, Kate, Justin and bothersome gadfly Ben, this impending triangle, this is watchable. Very watchable. I just have had no interest in any of the weekly cases up till now. Series needs a stiff dose of zing. And I maintain that I don't think it will be forthcoming - which is why it got zapped.

Previous episode a liver, this time a hand, what show needs is a pulsing heart.

Why does Judge Nicastro have otherwise-confident Kate's knickers so much in a knot?

To repeat myself from previous reviews: Sarah Shahi is wow! And I really like Kate.

Show itself creates no other buzz and didn't ever have long- term potential.

      [first lines]

Kate Reed: [rushing towards late appointment] Judge! Judge Nicastro! Sir! I am so sorry that I am late, sir. I discovered this defect in my alarm clock. It's called a snooze button.

[chuckles, but he doesn't see the joke]

Kate Reed: Anyway, sir, I am so very sorry. I hate being late.

Judge David Nicastro: But you love the chaos it creates.

      [as they walk along:]

Judge David Nicastro: Do you know what the most dangerous profession in the world is?

Kate Reed: Uh, mediating cases for you?
