Director Umesh Shukla of ‘Omg: Oh My God!’ fame is set to start rolling the cameras for his film based on the book ‘A Don’s Nemesis’ by retired Ips officer Amar Kumar Pandey. ‘A Don’s Nemesis’ is his second book, and tells the story of one of his prominent operations of catching don Ravi Pujari.

At the launch of the book, director and producer Umesh Shukla announced that he will be creating a film on the chase story.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui has been roped in as the lead actor of an undisclosed project, to be backed by filmmaker Umesh Shukla.

The untitled film will be directed by Sejal Shah and penned by Bhavesh Mandalia, who has been associated with earlier projects as Shukla's "Omg: Oh My God!", Sudhir Mishra's Ott release "Serious Men" and Homi Adajania's "Angrezi Medium".

"I am always searching for roles that are challenging and quirky, and stories which are exciting and have something to say. With this interesting group of people coming together you can expect the unexpected from us," Nawazuddin said.

Umesh Shukla, who is known for directing films like "Oh My God" and "102 Not Out", promised a thrilling story.

"Heroes are amongst us, we simply choose not to see them. (They are) Ordinary people who achieved the extraordinary, and who else but Nawaz to bring a story alive and make us care.

The National School Of Drama (Nsd) appointed actor Paresh Rawal as Chairman on Thursday, and the veteran film and theatre actor says he is looking forward to sharing his knowledge and experience with the future generations.

"Yes, it is confirmed that I have been appointed Chairman of Nsd. I am very happy! I have been doing theatre for the past 48 years. I started doing plays and stage performances since 1972. Veteran actor Paresh Rawal has been appointed the new chairman of National School of Drama (Nsd). The prestigious institute announced the news on Thursday on its verified Twitter account.

"We are glad to inform Hon'ble President of India @rashtrapatibhvn has appointed renowned actor & Padma Shri @sirpareshrawal as chairman of @nsd_india. Nsd family welcome the legend to shower his guidance to Nsd for achieving new heights," read the tweet.

Rawal, also a politician affiliated with the Bharatiya Janata Party, started his acting career in the eighties. Widely respected for his versatility, he has impressed with numerous award-winning arthouse performances as well as roles as the villain and the comedian in mainstream Bollywood films.

Rawal was honoured with a Padma Shri in 2014, and he won the National Film Award in 1994 as Best Supporting Actor for "Woh Chokri" and "Sir".
