Last Dance (2012)

Trivia

Last Dance

Edit
American actress Gena Rowlands was originally cast in the lead female role but her casting was opposed by the MEAA, the Australian Media, Entertainment & Arts Alliance trade union.
According to a 16th November 2011 article published by the Sydney Morning Herald, producer Antony I. Ginnane expressed " . . . his frustration with opposition from 'a bunch of union hooligans' at a session at the Screen Producers Association of Australia [SPAA] conference in Sydney, where he revealed Equity had derailed his plan to import American actor Gena Rowlands for his latest film."
Australian actress Julia Blake replaced American actress Gena Rowlands in the leading lady role of Ulah in this Australian production.
The film was an "official selection" at two Australian Film Festivals in 2012, Cinefest Oz 2012, and the Melbourne International Film Festival (MIFF) 2012.
Debut theatrical feature film directed by writer-editor-director David Pulbrook.
