Horror Channel FrightFest takes place in London this weekend. Here's our pick of films to look out for...
Summer’s almost over and what better way to welcome in the spooky season than by hiding from the heat in a darkened room, with five days of wall-to-wall horror? Yep, it’s August Bank Holiday and that means the 18th annual London Horror Channel FrightFest is upon us. For some, this is a familiar pilgrimage. Veterans will be used to bloodshot eyes, numbness in the spine, a lack of nutrition and an acute anxiousness every time there’s a loud noise. For others, it may be their first visit and these are things to look forward to. Either way, FrightFest promises probably the biggest, purest, uncut dose of horror you can endure without going insane, complete with special guests, world premieres, live events and at least a couple of parties.

Daddy's Home -- and so is Mel Gibson!
The 61-year-old actor joins the second installment of the hit comedy starring Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell, and Et's Kevin Frazier got a first look at Gibson in action during a visit to the Boston set last month.

"It's pretty dang cool," Wahlberg gushed of having Gibson play his dad -- despite the only 16 year age difference between them.
"It was difficult getting him to play my dad, because he's actually two years younger than me," he joked.
"Tell him you've been astounded," Gibson pleaded.
Wahlberg and Ferrell reprise their roles as father and stepfather in Daddy's Home 2, though this time around, they've joined forces to give their kids the perfect Christmas. The pair's partnership, however, is put to the test when their own fathers arrive just in time for the holiday.

Hollywood hasn't always been kind to its leading ladies. Goldie Hawn returns to the silver screen May 12, starring opposite Amy Schumer in Snatched. The mother-daughter comedy marks the actress' first film role since 2002's The Banger Sisters. Back in the day, Hawn could do no wrong at the box office; Private Benjamin, Overboard and The First Wives Club were major, career-defining hits. But when Hawn was pitched to star in Snatched, the studio initially balked. "They didn't want me in the beginning," Hawn says with a shrug in Entertainment Weekly's Apr. 21 issue. But Schumer wouldn't accept any substitutes: "I said, 'Over my dead body Goldie is not going to be in this...

Mark Wahlberg had Justin Bieber join his wife and four children for dinner, but that doesn't mean he wants the 22-year-old heartthrob being part of his family.
On Friday's episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the Patriots Day star initially plays coy as to who he had over for dinner, initially only saying that the person was a Canadian pop star, and that his 13-year-old daughter, Ella, was a fan.
