So funny!
I watched this years ago when it was played on the now defunct yahoo tv. It's been many many years since, but I remember it being so funny. I have trying to find somewhere to watch it again. I highly recommend it. This coming from someone who has never watched the bachelor shows it's based on. All the stars that show up in this is amazing. And all these years later, even the ones I didn't know at the time are in so many of the shows I watch now. It is really a shame that more people don't know about this show. Watch it if you ever get the chance. Very very funny and definitely worth your time.
Hilarious!
Finally, someone has made a comprehensive, hilarious, spot-on send up of the ridiculous nature of The Bachelor/Bachelorette. I watched episode 1 twice in a row and laughed harder the second time. My only question...how many harrowing episodes of The Bachelor did the writer have to watch to get everything so perfect in Burning Love? Though it must have been painful, it was worth it. As for the cast, the celebrity cameos are delightful. Ken Marino has never been better (maybe that guest spot on Whitney?), and Michael Ian Black couldn't be more (in)sincere. I do hope we see more Ballerina...can she scale the wall of the mansion to get back in the game?
Near perfect, especially if you love to hate the source material
Before I saw "The Bachelor" and "The Bachelorette" shows that this series parodies, I thought "Burning Love" was just funny. Having finally subjected myself to one of those nauseating source-material seasons, I can fully appreciate BL's humor, and can say that it is spot-on hilarious.
And to the reviewer kraegm, who was forced to watch the first season in a movie format instead of a TV series format: that's just weird. I wouldn't like it either, if a bunch of distinct 15-minute dramatizations were smashed together in a continuum. Check out seasons 2 and 3 on non-Canadian sources, and see if you like them better.

What a Riot!
This is a great parody of the so-called "reality" shows. I only saw a few minutes of the Bachelor and the Bachelorette while flipping through the channels, but I culd see how lame they were. This show hit all the lowlights of that type of program. The writing and the acting were terrific! Great cast!
I would love to hold your box....
I almost never see any popular TV shows or movies and I frequently watch things that parody whatever is popular. That's usually a bad combination. You miss a lot of jokes that way. With Burning Love, I feel like I got all the jokes even though I have never seen any reality dating shows. This is one of those rare shows that gets better with every episode.I was sad when the first season ended but I quickly cheered up when I realized season 2 was even better.I have always been a big fan of the guys from The State and 20 years later they are still funny. This show also includes tons of lesser known comedians and people who starred in Adult Swim mini-shows.Of course those are all people that are very unknown outside of my head but to me they are all a-listers.June Diane Raphael is extremely funny and she makes season 2 a must watch for comedy fans.My favorite joke is that there was a season before the first and one between the first and second.Comedy gold. You have to see this show.
