    Olympic

Well, it is quite possible that the ship referred to as Titanic is, in fact, the sister ship Olympic which suffered damage in New York Harbour as well as from a British warship in the English Channel. J.P. Morgan were the financiers behind Titanic and J.P. Morgan declined to travel at the last moment. Insurance coverage was increased prior to the voyage and it is suggested that because the Olympic was so badly damaged a switch was made at the Harland and Wolf shipyard and the name 'Titanic' was welded over the name 'Olympic'. It should also be noted that 5 days before the Titanic (Olympic) sailed another vessel called the "Californian" left London with no cargo except 3000 woolly sweaters. The Californian stopped in mid-Atlantic and waited for the Titanic (Olympic) and even communicated her position to the Titanic......this can all be verified by research.

    Must See for Titanic Fans

Titanic at 100: Mystery Solved (2012)

    *** 1/2 (out of 4)

Here's yet another (of many) documentary to go in with Titanic's 100th Anniversary sinking. This here is one of the more interesting ones as they attempt to do a complete map of the ocean floor and to locate every bit of debris. The documentary uses some terrific graphs to show us previous expeditions and we get to see what areas of the ocean floor they explored. It's shocking to think that no one has ever attempted to film ever inch of the ocean floor but that's what happens here. Fans of the Titanic or history buffs in general should really get a kick out of this documentary as you're going to recognize many familiar faces that you've seen in other Titanic documentaries. The experts are all brought together to look over the new findings but another missing is to see if Titanic had a structural flaw that caused it to break in two. Another mission is to locate the portion of the ship that actually caused it to break apart. I'm not going to spoil what all is discovered here but it's pretty amazing see so many new items that were just discovered. Those who enjoy seeing these items will get a real kick out of all the new stuff but even the familiar footage is striking because of the updated equipment. A must see for Titanic fans.

    Nonsense --

I note that the crank who posted the conspiracy bunk ends with an unsubstantiated assertion:

"this can all be verified by research."

That assertion is typical of phony conspiracy fictions, and a dead giveaway that the crank is lying.

Were that true -- that it can be "verified by research" -- then why does the crank fail to do so? Because the crank is posting a deliberate fiction.

Is there anything more despicable than making light of the deaths of people by deliberately distorting the facts of the matter?

Who is "entertained" by such attacks on truth?
