When Rick is wandering through the jail after the party, an inmate is led down the hall by an officer. The inmate is played by Justin Bieber who, among other things, at the time was the on-again, off-again boyfriend of Selena Gomez who plays Nina.

One of the songs on the soundtrack is 'Only You' by Yazoo. Selena Gomez, who plays Nina Pennington, released a cover of that song for the 13 Reasons Why soundtrack in 2017.
In one of the kitchen scenes Rick's mother is painting the kitchen cabinets orange, in the next kitchen scene the cabinets are back to white.
