    Just. Plain. Stupid.

Not a single solitary thing about this episode makes a lick of logical sense. Nothing fits together in any meaningful way whatsoever. None of the events ring true. It's like one long drunken nightmare.

    Boring

I didn't like the whole Lorelie story when it started, and still don't. It's just uninteresting and tiresome. I'm also really tired of the whole Red John story; it has dragged on to the point that I've lost interest. They should have let it end at the end of season four, although they needed something more dramatic. We all knew he didn't actually kill Red John, because Red John never would have made it that easy for Patrick to kill him. I find the process of Patrick working with CBI to solve cases a lot more interesting than the whole Red John hullabaloo, and wish they would go back to just doing that. This episode added nothing to the story and was so boring it put me to sleep.

    • Trivia
The reason the camera pays so much attention to the boy sitting at the counter at the truck stop is because he is Simon Baker's son Claude, and because Simon was the director of this episode.
    • Goofs
Chowchilla Women's Prison, where Lorelei was being kept, is a California state facility. It makes no sense for the FBI to divert her to federal custody and then put her in a California prison, where state authorities like the CBI would be able to question her.
    • Quotes

Patrick Jane: What do you think of my request?

Bret Stiles: I don't think much of it, really, Patrick. Really, I don't.

Patrick Jane: Meaning you can't accomplish it?

Bret Stiles: Any task can be accomplished, as long as it's broken down into manageable pieces.
