This was a super low budget creature flick. It was probably one of the best low budget films I've seen. The acting was pretty good and they focused on making what you see of the creature effective. You can tell it's low budget, but it very well done.

Andi and Lena (Paul Hassler and Stephanie Lexer) head out to a cabin in the deep woods, in order to resurrect their relationship. Upon arrival, Lena is unimpressed. Several things take place that could spell trouble for the struggling lovebirds, who are too caught up in their own problems to notice. By the time horror strikes, it could be too late for both of them.

BIEST / BEAST is a slow-building monster movie, saving the title creature for the finale. This is wise, due to budgetary constraints. Aside from some CGI cheeeze at the end, it's not bad. Worth checking out.

P.S.- An Austrian production that makes great use of the natural scenery...

The only good thing about this damp squib is its short length. It is amazing that such cliché monster movies are still being made in 2022. I thought I had seen the last of such movies in the 1990s. This sub-standard plot is matched by its cheap visual effects, which are an eye-sore. Basically some cheap-ass Yeti-like man-eating monster is haunting the Austrian mountains and is eating people for decades; without the authorities having a freaking clue or even being bothered. And he is hiding in plain sight in a run-down house, which the visiting main lead discovers within half a day; but the accomplished local hunter can't find even though he has been searching for his wife for days. Incredibly dumb. And a monster which is just slightly bigger than the average human has taken a dump which is 5 feet high. And the lead takes a handful of the faeces and rubs it on his face and his wife's face; for no reason whatsoever. This dump of a film deserves negative ratings.

Well done! For a low-budget, indie horror film, it is surprisingly entertaining. Just relax and enjoy it for what it is. If you are like me, you'll find it fun and even frightening at times. Worth a look.
