Conrad Poe plays the titular role of Boy Negro, a small time criminal who is trying to escape poverty, fellow criminals and the authorities.
Boy Negro lives a life of crime but it doesn't stop him from being the dude that the women dig. He has streets smarts and a little of fighting ability but overall he is a nobody. Poe portrays the antihero with a black face in which was quite a normal sight to see in Filipino entertainment in general. The movie is quite slow and nearly two hours of vignettes of Boy being unlucky and just at the wrong place at the right time. It was partly based on a true to life to make it interesting but somewhat it is a downward spiral since its opening scenes which featured a Lito Lapid cameo. (and a whole lot of other local stars)
If you are fan of this Poe then by all means he delivers but don't think the movie is all that entertaining to begin with.
