Kathleen Selchow has been working as a kindergarten teacher for many years and leads a harmonious life with her husband Robert and son Luca, who goes to primary school. But from one minute to the next, nothing in Kathleen's life is the same again... On a trip to the nearby forest, the experienced educator takes over the management of the motley group of children. The mood on this November day is exuberant and everyone is looking forward to the planned campfire after the hike. But suddenly, while counting, Kathleen notices that two children are missing. Jenny and Nico are gone. The colleagues Nina and Miriam, who ran in front and to the side, did not notice the disappearance either. A dramatic search with a tragic outcome begins. In a mixture of guilt and emotional overwhelm, Kathleen desperately searches for what happened. She needs to understand who is responsible for the accident. Also, what is their part in the disaster?
