The year is 2014. In the middle of an alien incursion, Fraser Ward of UNIT is set down to the vaults to find a piece of technology to save the day. However, when he comes across the eager Tommy Benton, they both uncover a hidden vault that contains one of the most dangerous weapons on the planet.

With the Rebirth Team struggling to find its footing, Lizzie finds herself interested in the group and what exactly they do within UNIT. However, when she gets involved and her job is threatened, she must join the Rebirth Team to begin a new investigation in TipTree.

With the full team now in TipTree, the investigation goes underway to find out more about the bottomless hole. With secrets in the community to discover, along with an autopsy to perform, the team will uncover a conspiracy that has lasted nearly thirty years.

While trying to stop Fraser doing something stupid, the team are faced with intervention by the FBI. With tensions running high, the team must get back in contact with UNIT and establish control over their investigation.

With their differences settled, the Rebirth Team alongside the FBI decide it's time to find out what's inside the hole. Much against everyone's wishes, Fraser and Lizzie descend into the hole, whilst the town community attempts to take over the local Government.
