Krysten Ritter in Jessica Jones (2015)

Trivia

Jessica Jones

Edit
Jessica throwing a man through the Alias sign in the beginning of the pilot episode, A.K.A. Ladies Night (2015), is shot for shot from the first panel of the "Alias" comics. This is how the audience is introduced to Jessica Jones both in the comics and in live-action.
Melissa Rosenberg was brought on to write and produce the new incarnation of the series, to be reconfigured from her original project, which she called a "page one do-over" from her original vision. S.J. Clarkson served as an executive producer for the first episode, A.K.A. Ladies Night (2015). Liz Friedman also serves as an executive producer on the series. Rosenberg noted that the final series is very different from the version she developed for ABC because of the different mythology of the MCU.
Krysten Ritter put on 10 pounds (4.5 kg) of muscle for her role and trained for two months before filming began.
In the comics, Jessica Jones went to High School with Peter Parker, AKA Spider-Man, and her father worked for Tony Stark, AKA Iron Man. Jones even masturbates to a photo of Johnny Storm, AKA The Human Torch. Jones and Luke Cage are married with a daughter named Danielle, after Danny Rand/Iron Fist, a character from a different Marvel/Netflix series.
Malcolm Ducasse, portrayed by Eka Darville, is Jessica Jones's neighbor who struggles with drug addiction, resulting in his personal journey intertwining with hers. Jessica meets Malcolm while saving him from two muggers, a meeting she does not recall because that was also the night that Kilgrave first brought her under his control. In the comics the character is a high school student named Malcolm Powder who is a fan of Jessica Jones and wants a job at Alias Investigations.
