- Quotes
Jeremy Lin: I'm just out there having fun and playing a game, I can have bad games and you know they may not like me or they may boo me, but there's a lot more important things in life than just basketball because at the end of the day basketball is just a game. What happened to me is just a story, I mean it wasn't like I knew I'd come off that bench and just do that, I really didn't I thought I could play on this level and I thought I could play at this level I didn't feel that would happen and some of those experiences out there when I was on the court, I felt like I was being controlled by something else, I felt like I was having an out of body experience. Some of the plays I made some of the wins we've had were just so out of this world that I still have to pinch myself to really believe it
- ConnectionsReferences Aladdin (1992)
This documentary is about Lin--a journeyman NBA player who briefly was a HUGE sensation when he played for the New York Knicks. Despite his bouncing around to a few other teams since this incredible season back in 2012, the story is worth seeing for many reasons--particularly due to Lin's size and his humble pedigree. A 6'3" Asian-American who graduated from Harvard is NOT the sort of guy you'd expect to even play in the NBA--let alone spur on the fans like he did in the 2012 season.
This is an enjoyable film overall. The only real negative is that Lin is still young and exactly where his career will go is a great unknown--and so when the film ends, there isn't exactly a sense of where he and his career are going next.
