In the series' opening episode, Marty, Bea, and Gordy celebrate Marty's 21st birthday at a local bar. After receiving her own "shot book" filled with a list of twenty-one bucket list items for the night, they engage in karaoke, games, and attempt to get twenty-one signatures. However, the night takes a turn for the worse when a stranger interrupts the fun.

Marty's birthday celebration continues as they mark off more items from her bucket list. However, their night is once again interrupted by the unwelcome presence of the same guy from earlier; only this time more intoxicated.

Tensions rise when Bea goes missing and they must track her down. Meanwhile, outside, the night takes a dangerous turn when the past comes back to haunt them.

We pick up with the trio waking up with pounding hangovers and hazy memories of the night before. As they struggle to piece everything together, they realize that their drunkenness may have played a part in someone's death.

Bea, Marty, and Gordy face their ultimate test as they are cross-examined by local detectives about a dead body found earlier that day.

In the finale, as Gordy remains in custody and Bea tries to regain her focus, Marty runs into a familiar face from the bar who shares shocking new information, leading to a cliffhanger ending.
