Yes, Peter Szabo and Possibility Films have received permission from Stephen King to produce a film based on King's short story, NONA, through his Dollar Baby program. The contract with King states that Szabo and Possibility Films can only screen the film at festivals and include it on a director/producer demo reel. All other use, including for commercial sale or through any online distribution (free or for purchases) is strictly forbidden. King retains all rights and merely grants the exclusive permission to the filmmaker to make a non-commercial adaptation.
