Young reporter and aspiring wrestling announcer, Daisy King, travels out to the forest for her first interview with Klonk, a giant blue boar monster who moonlights as a truffle hunter and loves to prank people. Their conversation covers Klonk's wild youth and the history of his signature move, "The Mosh Hit", but comes to an abrupt end when Klonk accidentally says too much.

Daisy meets up with tag team Tarnus and Tina, a pair of canine twins with a massive online following and a love of mischief. During their interview, Daisy gets a chance to show off her ringside announcing skills, and one of the twins lets a crucial bit of information about the underground wrestling ring slip.

Daisy heads off to Siberia to meet with Buran the Bearicorn, a brutally determined and intense monster with an affinity for traditional Siberian tea and a surprising ability to write children's books. After a surprise reading of Buran's latest kid's story and a history of his dastardly wrestling move, the BFF, Daisy finds herself one step closer to unraveling the mystery at the heart of monster wrestling.

Daisy flies to Japan to meet the gigantic and stoic Mr. Yokuzuner, a retired wrestler and current movie star. After dinner at the world's biggest Hibachi grill and some lessons on the importance of family from Yoko, Daisy is forced to confront her concerned family as they worry for her safety while she's overseas.

Daisy continues on her journey, arriving next in Mexico City, interviewing the chaotically energetic Lucho Luchon. He helps Daisy face her fears, which she does by riding a hoverbike through town and causing untold amounts of property damage. Despite this, Daisy moves on to her next interview with another lesson learned, and another key piece of evidence to help her solve the underground wrestling ring mystery.

Daisy goes to England to meet with the undefeated reigning WMW champion, the posh and eccentric King Gorge. She uncovers the truth behind Gorge's royal lineage, all while plummeting to her doom (Did we mention the interview takes place during a skydive?). She also comes to a terrifying realization that, thanks to her investigation into the underground wrestling scene, she may have put her parents in danger.

Daisy heads to Pittsmore to talk with Denise, a former wrestler, now manager, who also spends many evenings as a lounge singer. Daisy confronts Denise about the underground ring, and to her surprise, Denise is very cooperative. Daisy seems to finally have cracked the case, but, with her parents still not answering her phone calls, could Daisy be walking into a trap?

Daisy finally meets the big boss at the center of the underground ring, and must use all she's learned so far to defeat her. But it won't be easy, and shortly into their "interview", the gloves come off.
