It's definitely the best Short film Budget Productions has released since the Virgin Wars Remakes but it still feels short. The whole short film lasts just over 4 minutes but the actual film ends just after 3 mins. The end credit sequence does make up for it however because it's a great surprise! George and Jack bring the main characters is always a pleasure as this is the 3rd time they've fought in a Budget Production Short Film. Josh and George deliver a lot more this time with equal screen time to the other two. Unfortunately Adam is only in it for about 5 seconds but it does make for a funny scene!
For no budget this is great. It's fast paced, has hood music and the acting is actually alright. Budget Productions are know to make fun cheap films for everyone to enjoy, and this is possibly their best! This is up there with Despondency. This is surprisingly funny at times and has a good soundtrack to compliment it. It wouldn't been nice for it to have been a couple minutes longer but for it's runtime it fits a lot in and does deliver with some good action. How many more times are we going to see Jack and George fight in a Budget Productions short film. They're fighting skills are great but this is now the 4th time.
They've done it again. Budget Productions have made another funny, action packed short film that's only 4 minutes long. The fight scenes are great and the music is also amazing and fits the tone properly. I like the more edgy tone this one has with darker lighting that looks John Wick inspired. The blood spit scene was unexpected from Budget Productions as it's never been done before by them. Everyone delivers their roles well with Josh and George having a lot more to do this time compared to The Hood when they were only there for plot. Jack and George fighting again is great and is a nice callback as this has released one year after Virgin Wars and Virgin Wars: Bounty Hunters.
Despondency was the top for a while but in my opinion this has topped it! It's shorter yes, but the fight scenes are and soundtrack is the best budget productions have done. The fight choreography in this is very good. Makes up for the mediocre releases which was 'The Hood'. Nice to see shared screen time between the cast. Obviously it's about Gray and The Jacket but Josh Foxon and George Williams do have a fair share of screen time. Make sure to watch the the bf credits as I was not expecting that announcement! To conclude my review I think (for now) this is the best short released by Budget Productions.
Yes, it's not the longest but it is longer than Wanted and The Hood. I like how this is a sequel to The Hood but it isn't forced so it can be its own story. Seeing Gray Cade back on the screen again was amazing. They did his reveal justice with a great score. I was a underwhelmed by the first fight they have as it wasn't very king but it was made up for with the second fight which is by far Budget Productions best choreographed fight scene. Jack as the Jacket is always a pleasure to watch on screen as he brings a cool, chill vibe the characters in the short film. Josh Foxon and George Williams had a lot more to do this time and they delivered!
