Need more musical guests of this calibre.

I've only heard of Brandi Carlile recently in NPR interviews. There were little snippets of her songs they played during the interview that were appealing to me.

So I watched this show and saw how extremely talented she is. She has a real stage presence and shows total calm confidence in her performance. There have been many musical guests lately that make me wonder what they are doing on the show at all, but that was not the case this week. There is no pretending in what she does on stage with that group. They all worked together so perfectly.

Oh, Steve Martin and Martin Short were pretty good too.

    It's so funny!

It's so funny that this show remains on the air. Ironically because it's NOT funny. The funniest part of the show is the Weekend Update segment. I get a kick of of Che and the other guy laughing at their own jokes. Sometimes they laugh even before they tell the joke. It's like watching a 1st grader telling a funny story. They giggle before and during their story, and it's cute. (For the First grader). It's not cute or funny for the Weekend update anchors. It's just lame. The funniest part is, the anchors are usually the only ones laughing. What they have to say is rarely funny at all, it's just lame.

Funny tag team of Steve and Martin deliver a good well done "SNL"

"This "SNL" episode from Dec. 10, 2022 which featured funny guys Steve Martin and Martin Short was funny and a good well done episode. It was memorable with cast mates singing during the opening that all of their troubles would go away during "Christmas"! Plus it was nice to see an appearance by Selena Gomez(to complete the "Only Murders in the Building" cast!). Skits and funny parody shorts done along the way were highly memorable one was with Steve and Martin as high school teachers trying to get their students to answer science and chemistry questions only Cecily Strong portrays a female student worried about other things! And the train sequence of Martin, and Steve, and Strong and, Thompson traveling to Buffalo for the winter was crazy funny as it turns out they all are really Bears underneath ready to hibernate for the winter! Also the singing from Brandi Carlile was okay. Good mid season episode.
