Daniel Craig in No Time to Die (2021)

Quotes

No Time to Die

Edit
  • Blofeld: James, fate draws us back together. Now your enemy is my enemy. How did that happen?
  • James Bond: Well, you live long enough.
  • Nomi: I get why you shot him.
  • Moneypenny: Yeah, well, everyone tries at least once.
  • Q: So you're not dead?
  • James Bond: Hello, Q. I've missed you.
  • Madeleine: Why would I betray you?
  • James Bond: We all have our secrets. We just didn't get to yours yet.
  • James Bond: You have all the time in the world.
  • Madeleine: She does have your eyes.
  • James Bond: I know. I know...
  • Lyutsifer Safin: James Bond. History of violence, license to kill, vendetta with Ernst Blofeld, in love with Madeleine Swann. I could be speaking to my own reflection.
  • James Bond: We've made slightly different choices.
  • Lyutsifer Safin: No. We've just developed different methods for the same goal. Only your skills die with your body. Mine will survive long after I'm gone. And life is all about leaving something behind, isn't it?
  • James Bond: She is irrelevant.
  • Blofeld: I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss. You said it yourself, she's very good at hiding things. And when her secret finds its way out, and it will, it'll be the death of you.
  • James Bond: This is gonna go brilliantly.
  • Paloma: I know. I've done three weeks' training.
  • Lyutsifer Safin: The thing that no one wants to admit is that most people want things to happen to them. We tell each other lies about the fight for free will and independence, but we don't really want that. We want to be told how to live and then die when we're not looking. People want oblivion, and a few of us are born to build it for them. So here I am - their invisible god sneaking under their skin.
  • James Bond: You know that history isn't kind to men who play God.
  • Lyutsifer Safin: And you don't? We both eradicate people to make the world a better place. I just want it to be... tidier.
  • MI6 Security Guard: Name?
  • James Bond: Bond.
  • [Clerk looks up]
  • James Bond: James Bond.
  • Logan Ash: Why don't you help me out, brother?
  • James Bond: I had a brother. His name was Felix Leiter.
  • James Bond: If we don't do this, there will be nothing left to save!
  • James Bond: [at Vesper's grave] I miss you.
  • M: The proper function of man is to live, not to exist. I shall not waste my days in trying to prolong them. I shall use my time.
  • James Bond: [to Q, after killing Primo with his EMP watch] I had to show someone your watch. It really blew their mind.
  • Felix Leiter: Harder to tell the good from the bad, the villains from the heroes these days.
  • [last lines]
  • Madeleine: Mathilde. I'm going to tell you a story about a man. His name was Bond, James Bond.
  • Blofeld: I didn't need to kill you. I'd already broken you. I wanted to give you an empty world like the one you gave me. It's enough to almost make me regret it. Almost.
  • Lyutsifer Safin: We both eradicate people to make the world a better place. I just want it to be... tidier.
  • Nomi: The world's moved on since you retired, Commander Bond. Perhaps you didn't notice.
  • James Bond: No, can't say I had. And in my humble opinion, the world doesn't change very much.
  • Nomi: You would say that.
  • James Bond: Where'd you find The Book of Mormon?
  • Felix Leiter: Political appointee. Not my choice. Seems intelligence isn't central anymore.
  • James Bond: He smiles too much.
  • M: Shut up, Q. I know he's staying with you.
  • James Bond: What is this, SPECTRE bunga-bunga?
  • James Bond: I don't know if you wanted me to come here, or why you tried to kill Blofeld, or who gave you the poison to do it, or how long you've been working for them, but I do know that for what felt like five minutes of my life, I wanted everything with you. And it's not because I didn't trust. It was just that feeling. I know I've come here to find out who gave you the poison but I'm not going to leave here without you knowing that I have loved you, and I will love you, and I do not regret a single moment of my life that led me to you. Except when I put you on that train.
  • M: The world is arming faster than we can respond. Where's 007?
  • Nomi: Do you know what time it is?
  • Valdo Obruchev: What?
  • Nomi: Time to die.
  • [kicks him off a ledge into a pool of acid]
  • M: I can't pretend there weren't some sorry faces when you left us, Bond, but you fell so far off the grid that we thought you must be dead. Now, learning that you were, in fact, alive and well, and... working for the CIA, well... Well, that really was a blow.
  • James Bond: Well, they just asked so nicely.
  • Lyutsifer Safin: I want the world to evolve, yet you want it to stay the same. Let's face it - I've made you redundant.
  • James Bond: No. Not as long as there are people like you in the world.
  • James Bond: [observing one of Q's hairless Sphynx cats] You know, they come with fur these days.
  • James Bond: The past isn't dead.
  • M: Which one's Bond?
  • Q: The Psi! The, er, Trident thingy...
  • James Bond: The callsign? Something about a hat?
  • Paloma: Oh, I forget things when I'm nervous.
  • Madeleine: How will I know you're okay?
  • James Bond: You won't. You'll never see me again.
  • James Bond: He told me you didn't betray me.
  • Madeleine: I understand you're not built to trust people.
  • James Bond: Neither are you.
  • Madeleine: Then we were fools for trying.
  • James Bond: I wanted to.
  • James Bond: How's the view?
  • Madeleine: It's growing on me. Can you go faster?
  • James Bond: [shakes head] We don't need to go faster. We have all the time in the world.
  • James Bond: If I don't come back, blow it all to shit.
  • Nomi: We don't have enough explosives for that.
  • James Bond: Yeah, but they don't know that.
  • James Bond: [to Madeleine] You're right. Letting go is hard.
  • James Bond: Can I talk to Madeleine?
  • Q: Of course. How stupid of me.
  • Nomi: What happened?
  • Tanner: He's been reinstated as a Double-0.
  • Nomi: Double-0 what?
  • James Bond: [to M, on Nomi] I've met your new 007. She's a disarming young woman.
  • James Bond: [last words] I know.
  • Primo: Let the sheep out.
  • Young Shepherd: Why?
  • Primo: Because I'll kill you if you don't.
  • James Bond: [after Paloma proved herself as an action girl] Three weeks training? Really?
  • Paloma: More or less.
  • James Bond: We're still gonna need that car.
  • [takes swig from glass]
  • James Bond: Salut!
  • Paloma: Salut!
  • M: [to Bond] If you've nothing left to give, you are irrelevant. You've done your bit and we thank you for your service, again. Goodbye. Moneypenny, send in 007.
  • James Bond: I remember everything.
  • James Bond: Die, Blofeld, die!
  • Blofeld: Cuckoo.
  • Valdo Obruchev: Hey, I wouldn't need a laboratory to wipe your race off the face of the Earth!
  • Nomi: Do you know what time it is?
  • James Bond: And after Blofeld, what do they want?
  • James Bond: Well, it's hard to say. I mean, I would imagine world leaders, innocent civilians, freedom, you know, that sort of thing.
  • M: Oh, good, well, just the usual.
  • James Bond: Just the usual.
