The lawyers have a falling out over their opinions of the client - Sabrina thinks they should not be representing a sleazebag like Lawrence, while Jacob wants her to do her duty and defend him in court.

A Chinese prostitute, Lily, is discovered by her roommates with over thirty stab wounds in her body. The prime suspect turns out to be Wang, a factory worker who was one of the last people to visit Lily.

A tragedy occurs in the condo of Eve and Jude Pereira when their maid, Gwen, slips while apparently trying to clean the windows. Eve manages to catch Gwen as she is holding onto the ledge, but she is unable to hold onto her.
