Could have been good, but...

I really wanted to like this. The concept looked really promising, as it was presented in the trailer:

A group of near-septagenarians find their good old friend dead, just as one of them has overheard that the is about to receive a Nobel prize - which cannot be awarded posthumously. So for various reasons - noble and not so noble - they decide to keep his death under wraps for a week, until the prize is to be officially announced.

Sounds like rich pickings for a proper farce, like a "Weekend at Bernie's" for grownups. Especially since the cast consists of the "Lorry" crowd, with extremely talented comedic actors like Suzanne Reuter, Claes Månsson, Ulla Skoog, Johan Ulveson and Peter Dalle.

But no, it doesn't work, because the piece is not WRITTEN by Dalle & Co - if it were, it would have been ROTFLMAO guaranteed. Here, the writing is all over the place, with literally no sense of direction. The tempo is annoyingly slow, and quite a few very obvious comedy moments are totally missed. 4 hours could easily have been edited down to 3.

In conclusion: if you missed it, you didn't miss much.
