Just like lots of shows from the 2010's it's about rock and roll, more specifically, a band. As someone who loves rock and metal and plays guitar (not that goodly) this show seems up my alley but it feels more like something I would've liked more as a kid cause not that I'm a 16 year old watching a cartoon meant for kids, and I love rock and metal WAY more than as a kid I think this is just an alright show. It has some funny moments that come from just being so dumb and weird it's funny, but it's the same thing every episode which wouldn't be a bad thing but more me it's a somewhat bad thing. Another thing I don't like that the rock and roll stuff just sucks, it feels like the people working on it only know rock from before the 80s and like maybe a few link in park songs but I don't really feel like there are any rock and metal references at all, tho tbh this is just a silly show and it's a fun watch if you have nothing better to do.
Grojband is one of those cartoons that make you laugh or giggle for all the right reasons. The writers, given that each "episode" is normally 10-12 minutes long, do an excellent job of pacing and keeping the humor & story consistent while maintaining the characters well.
Here are the some main characters of Grojband as summarized simply enough by me:
With the way the usual boy punk rocker is written in mainstream media, seeing Corey was a breath of fresh air. The writers play on that archetype by making him oblivious yet radical & friendly at the same time by putting in jokes that play off that characterization well. He and Trina (older sis) do not get along at all. Trina might as well be the definition of selfishness, egotistical, and malicious but Corey always seems to find his way.
Kin and Kon's (twins) relationship as the "nerdy engineer keyboard player" and the "not as smart gentle giant drummer" are surprisingly not cringe-worthy as we see that Kin (smart) never looks down on Kon or his friends. They have a healthy brotherly relationship and are literally true bros.
Laney, as the only female in the band, comes off as someone who really doesn't mind being the only girl. She's shown to be just like her band mates (save, for an obvious crush on Corey shown in some episodes). She's shown to dislike all that is traditionally girly but it isn't overplayed to a tiresome point.
The animation is great, in which it doesn't make out each figure to be a stiff puppet with annoying voices (ex. Johnny Test). The movements are perceptively smooth and every character has their own shapely & diverse quality to them. The music is done well enough to keep the tone appropriate throughout the episodes. I noticed that the final songs in the end of each episode (when Corey gets the lyrics from Trina) explore different genres of music yet maintain Grojband's rock attitude. I find that SO refreshing. As far as realism goes, cartoons don't always have to be constrained to our world's realistic values and physics. When you claim that a cartoon such as this isn't realistic enough, you've gone and overlooked every component of the cartoon and labeled it as "not good enough" through your own blind observation. It's ignorant and you're literally missing the whole point, but if that is one's opinion then one is welcome to uphold whatever they believe.
Overall, it's a well-maintained show that plays on certain archetypes and over done subjects to create something entirely refreshing and humorous to both kids and an older audience alike. It's cute, silly, and while it's not the most visually stunning cartoon, its substance is well worth the short amount of time each episode has.

I Hate How This Show Was Canceled For Low Ratings And Mediocre Review Scores But The Show Is Way Better Then Peopld Think It Is, Its Fun Has A Short And Sweet Musical Number Every Episode And Really Has A Consistent Story Structure Everyday Episodes The Members Of Grojband Work Well Off Each Other Even If All Of Them Are Stereotypical In There Own Way But Just Because There Stereotypical Does Not Mean There Bad Characters And While This Show Is Not Dying Laughing Material It Certainly Has Made Me Chuckle And Laugh A Lot More From A Recent Rewatch The Animation (Which I Believe To Think Is Puppet Animation) Is Smooth And Solid To Look At And The Voice Acting And Sound Design Is Also Really Dang Good So If You Haven't Yet Give Grojband A Watch It Definitely Won't Waste Your Time
t's about time we see a Canadian show on Cartoon Network that didn't involve CONSTANT farting, and butt jokes in every episode. The show is very good, animation is good, and for the first time in years this is a Canadian show that I could watch week after week without feeling disgusted when the show is over. Honestly, I can't find a single bad thing about Grojband, Corey's innocent, and his friends are funny (in a good way not a disgusting way). CN has a REAL gem here, all I got to say to CN is this:
Please acquire shows that are more like this, Almost Naked Animals and Pink Panther and Pals. Let your failed Canadian show like Johnny Test, Sidekick and Scaredy Squirrel rot in the dirt and bury them and burn the tapes. Grojband is better than those dumb shows.

There is one thing that I hafta say. It is that "Grojband" was a pretty cool show. The reason why I say this is because the Animation style for this show was so wonderful & I even like a majority of the music that the main protagonist Corey performs with his homies Laney, Kin & Kon. I remember a time back when I was a 12 year old boy, this cartoon helped me feel better when I decided to change to this program as a means of clearing my head of that annoying "The Flintstones" junk. My favourite character in this show has to be Corey as he was a really cool kid whom wore a nice outfit & I liked his blue hair. I sometimes wish that this show would've been picked up for Another season as opposed to it ending after 1 season aired. & The way I see it, this show is NOT as bad as my Internet colleague says it is.
