Aspiring actress Matilda, desperate for a role, accepts a job as a scalped woman in a Halloween haunt attraction. As she delves into the haunt entertainment world, a masked maniac begins targeting the cast, replicating their staged injuries in gruesome reality. On Halloween night, the killer unleashes a wave of violence on visitors, bringing the ancient sacrificial origins of All Hallows' Eve into the present. Matilda and her newfound friends must band together to survive the night.

In the Realm of Terror, a haunted house at a Carnival, the performer Taylor is murdered by a maniac wearing costumer. She vanishes and her colleagues believe she has flaked out, and the manager Bradford replaces her by the wannabe actress Matilda, who has a powerful scream, to be scalped many times during the show.
