Slow start, very Good middle, Terrible ending
This series was on its way to near excellence. Then the final episode pretty much ruined it. I don't know what happened, what had been a strong mystery/thriller turned into a fantasy where physics doesn't exist. The last episode was so bad that it seemed like the writing was sourced to some random person on the street. Performance laurels go the characters of Dave, Freddy and Ezra. Episodes 1,2 fine. 3 to 8 superior. 9 a disappointing mess.
Smoke. The great mystery
I like the series, it has a good storyline about chasing 2 unknown arsonists. The actors are really good and the sound effects and visuals are good. Apple TV has starred again with another one of its great series.
This leaves you wanting more and can't wait to see the next episode. The other reviews that are downgrading this are rubbish with one of them stating the music is bad. However I think it's fitting. The actors are good quality, with a very intriguing storyline.
Well worth a watch and really describes some of the characters we have in this world today and what they are capable of.
Very good and well worth a watch.

Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine IS THE REASON TO WATCH.
Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine delivers an EPIC, ICONIC, SURREAL PERFORMANCE that is, by itself, AN OUTSTANDING REASON TO WATCH.
I am from São Paulo, Brazil, love tv shows and had not seen him on screen before.
WHAT A PERFORMANCE. He turned a secondary character into a OUTLIER. His delivery is as solid as Christoph Waltz in Inglorious Bastards, less verbal of course...but its a league of its own. Accent, tone, non verbal, alternating tones of voice in a extremely disturbing performance.
Saw him this week on Dexter Ressurection. ANOTHER OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE, SO GOOD and DIFFERENT it seems like a completely different actor.
THANK YOU SIR.

What started as a great show ended terribly
The woman in this series is pretty much invincible and never held accountable for any of her actions. She's the smartest, strongest and baddest character in the whole series. Everything is catered towards her and there are no consequences for her actions. Everything goes her way all the time. Taron Egarton plays the lead and the psychological twist keep you in suspense. Meanwhile Smolletts character trots around the plot doing whatever she wants whenever she wants and nobody seems to care. She's just the most intelligent corrupted cop to ever exist.
Interesting
I've watched the first two episodes of Smoke on Apple TV+ and so far, I'm enjoying it. The atmosphere is dark, tense, and moody, with the Pacific Northwest setting really adding to the overall tone. The story is slowly building tension, and the performances by Taron Egerton and Jurnee Smollett are strong and believable. The pacing is slow but feels deliberate, like it's setting up for bigger twists to come. The characters seem layered and complex, and the mystery around the fires is keeping me hooked. I'm definitely curious to see where the story goes next. Right now, I'd rate it a 7/10.😊😊😊😊😊😊😊

- GoofsAshley is visibly too young to have had Emmett as an adult. Actor Anderson is exactly 18 years older than actor Roessler, which would mean an underage pregnancy. This unlikelihood (given that Emmett's father is portrayed by an older man) is compounded by the notion that Ashley is a librarian (which requires a Master's in Library Science).
