    Dear

Dear (2024) earns a 7 out of 10 as a sincere yet uneven romantic drama exploring the complexities of modern communication and emotional vulnerability. The central performances bring earnest charm, and the film's focus on heartfelt conversations and digital-age intimacy offers occasional poignancy. However, its pacing feels sluggish in parts, and some narrative threads-particularly side characters-remain underdeveloped. Dear works best for viewers seeking an intimate, low-key relationship story, even if it doesn't fully rise above its familiar romantic tropes.

    Typical GVP movie

I think GVP should seriously consider about his movie selection. Just feel like he has same type of movies overall. And acting is just the same in all movies, same manerisms , same emotions etc. There is nothing catchy in this movie . Just below average movies and boring scenes . It took a big effort to finish this movie . Watched it in several parts and still found unbearable. Found the actors promising , that's why decided to watch it . But was disappointed after watching. I think everything went wrong in this movie. Won't recommend it for watching. Not even single time watchable !! STAY AWAY..

    Time waste movie 🍿

Well well well, movie just shifts from one place to another.its all over the place. Except heroine character everyone is wrong in this movie. Director should have come up with something better. One more movie with nothing to learn.

One more movie to showcase how Indian laws are so biased towards women even if it's genuine case. Lying , cheating and escaping. No support for ending, some random things. I mean common show real case scenarios instead of emotion and music making hero bad in the end. The ending is really sad to begin with. Female character has no responsibility/ accountability for making hero life hell. Pathetic.

Quirky Plot! Could have been a complete entertainer if...

Talk about unusual quirky movie plots! A young couple, newly married, all giddy and excited to start their life together with dreams and romance on the horizon; it all looks peachy and promises a sweet mushy love story until the husband discovers his bride's monstrous snoring that doesn't let him sleep for a second! Things would have been still tolerable if the husband was not such an extremely light sleeper too! Marriages are made in heaven, or are they? To be perfectly honest, the plot of DeAr is what got my attention. I wouldn't say the movie had the best acting performances (far from that, actually!) G. V. Prakashan who played Arjun is quite a mediocre actor with no variations in his expressions; although he involuntarily pulled off the suffering husband look throughout which I thought ended up being hilarious. All the supporting actors (except Rohini) were just okay and didn't do much to enhance the overall film. The best parts of the movie were Rohini and Aishwarya Rajesh, easily. Both of them gave excellent performances, their chemistry was beautifully written and executed with finesse.

Sure there were many flaws, one of the biggest ones being the sudden emergence of songs. I can't believe that still works? It's so passé! Wedding song, sad song, love song...seriously, we've had enough. There wasn't any need for them!

Other than those, it's a nice Sunday afternoon watch, when you don't feel like being too critical and have a light watch. Anand Ravichandran wrote it well. I wish he would pay a little more attention to the resolution to make it a complete entertainer.

Good movie to watch as a family. Dont worry about acting and all

Only a perfect husband and wife who faced the similar issue can understand the movie. Those who have given the bad reviews are not understanding it. This movie is for them only.

Obviously I too felt the acting of the casts were not good but that is not that worst as they say! One time watch for sure.

This movie is a good take away for those who file divorce for small reasons. For me divorce itself is not correct, one can think 1000 times before marriage but after you are married and if you face any issue then you have to either sort it out or should learn to live with it. This movie is a perfect example for that 👌 👏
