Ram Charan in Naayak (2013)

Trivia

Naayak

Edit
It was dubbed into Tamil and Malayalam under the same title.
This blockbuster hit marks the second time Ram Charan and Kajal Aggarwal are paired together after in 'Magadheera (2009)'.
Legendary music director, Ilaiyaraaja's melody "Subhalekha Rasukunna" from Chiranjeevis 'Kondaveeti Donga' was remixed in this film.
Initially, it was claimed that Shruti Haasan would do an item song in the film, but were later denied by the actress herself. Eventually, actress Charmme Kaur ended up doing the item song in the film.
There was a controversy surrounding the title of the movie when Girijan Student associations raised an objection, stating that the term 'Naayak' is reserved for use exclusively by people belonging to the Lambadi sect and demanded a change in the movie's title. The objection raised by the Girijan Students was submitted before the Censor Board and the Board decided not to change the title as it felt that the title does not relate to any caste feelings.
