A crazy laugh riot which will show the outcomes of two sophisticated Punjabi men and a Punjabi girl. One of the men has a one night stand with the girl and somehow, craziness happens when she is pregnant unexpectedly.

Bad Newz is a bizarre, rare comedy about heteropaternal superfecundation. A twist of fate leads to Saloni Bagga's twin pregnancy being fathered by both Akhil Chadha and Gurbir Pannu, setting off a chaotic rivalry for her love and their children. As Akhil and Gurbir vie for Saloni's affections, chaos ensues.

Saloni and Akhil meet at a wedding and become close they soon start to meet and get married.But after marriage Saloni realizes that Akhil is mummy's boy and his love towards her is over caring, when situation goes out of hand Saloni files for divorce.Saloni later shifts to another place and meets Gurbir an hotelier and both start spending time with each other.Thou she and Akhil have divorced she feels jealous after seeing him in arms of other women and after a few pegs gets intimate with Gurbir.The same night Akhil arrives to surprise her on their first wedding anniversary and they to get intimate.Few weeks later Saloni finds she is pregnant with twins and in a rare case both kids have different father's.—alex.mjacko@gmail.com

Saloni Bagga (Triptii Dimri) is a chef who dreams of her restaurant Panama Cafe winning the Meraki Star. Ma Corona (Neha Dhupia) is Saloni's aunt and her mother Sunita (Vijaylaxmi Singh) attend a wedding with Saloni. Sunita wants Saloni to marry Harman Sathija (Guneet Singh Sodhi), the sole heir to Sathija builders.

At the same wedding Saloni meets Akhil Chadha (Vicky Kaushal) and they hit it off immediately. Akhil runs the Chadha Chaap Corner. Saloni had explained to Akhil that she had sacrificed a lot for her Meraki star and that she did not want to compromise on her career. Akhil assures that he will support her career. Akhil blows Saloni away with his charm. Akhil has mother Vishni (Sheeba Chaddha). As Akhil and Saloni dated, Sunita and Vishni matched their horoscopes and are excited. Akhil and Saloni are quickly married.

However, soon problems arise in their marriage. Vishni is very intrusive and wants kids quickly. Vishni kept interrupting the couple on their honeymoon night, and then on their Europe trip where she called Akhil every few hours. Akhil kept interrupting Saloni at work by bringing her gifts and his relatives like Sarla Aunty (Rachna Vasavada). When the Meraki star committee arrives, one random customer insults Saloni's food. Akhil was there at the restaurant with his friends and ends up fighting with the customer. Saloni yells at Akhil in front of everyone and asks him to leave.

Akhil confronts Saloni at home, who complains about being interrupted at work. Saloni says that Akhil does not understand her ambition because he has only ever lived on his father's money. Akhil insults Saloni by saying that she is not a good cook. Saloni returns home to her mother, father Amardeep (Harnek Raj Aulakh) and Teji (Kamlesh Sharma). The next day the Meraki committee arrives, and Saloni was still distracted by the events of the previous day. She is not able to give any answers, and the restaurant loses its Meraki Star. This results in Saloni getting fired from her job.

As a result of these problems, the couple decides to get divorced. Saloni then relocates to Mussoorie to work at a restaurant owned by Gurbir Singh Pannu (Ammy Virk). Gurbir was very calm and mature. Gurbir had taken the restaurant to new heights with his hard work and ambition, and he wanted a Meraki star as well.

Gurbir and Saloni attend a Garbha night where Saloni bruises Gurbir's fingers. While being attended to, Gurbir shares that he met his ex-girlfriend at Garbha, and they fell in love. But she wouldn't marry a non-vegetarian, and his grandfather Daarji (Mahabir Bhullar) wanted Sejal to also compromise (and eat chicken for one day) if they were being made to give up non-veg food. Gurbir really appreciates Saloni and her food. They start spending time together. Harman calls Saloni and tells her that Akhil has moved on and shows her videos of Akhil dancing with a hot girl. A drunk Saloni ends up having a one-night stand with Gurbir. That same night, Akhil shows up at her room, wanting her back and they end up having a one-night stand as well.

As a result of these encounters, Saloni gets pregnant. After taking a paternity test to determine the baby's father (she was too drunk to remember who could be the father of the baby), she realizes that she is pregnant with twins. Saloni convinces Gurbir and Akhil to go through the test, though Akhil is distraught that Saloni was already sleeping with someone else. But when Gurbir and Akhil meet, they compete in a series of tests like push-ups, solving Rubik cube, and who generates more sperm. To make matters worse, Saloni is told by her doctor that as a result of a very rare phenomenon called Heteropaternal Superfecundation, the twins have different fathers, who are revealed to be Akhil and Gurbir.

Saloni wants to abort, but the guys don't. Saloni is clear that the kids will not be separated. Ma Corona is by Saloni's side throughout the mess. Gurbir and Akhil move in with Saloni to ensure that Ma Corona does not convince Saloni to abort the baby. This results in a chain of events where both Akhil and Gurbir try to prove that one of them is a better partner and father than the other. Gurbir is the sensitive one, while Akhil is sexy one with the hot body.

Gurbir and Akhil continue to fight and give Saloni stress. Saloni decides to raise the kids on her own. Akhil sabotages Gurbir's date with Saloni, and Gurbir responds by stealing Akhil's phone. Akhil has a fear of being without his phone as when his father died, Vishni tried to call him on mobile, but he was busy touring Delhi with his friends and never picked up her call.

Akhil hires Sukhi Mama (Khayali Saharan) to spy on Gurbir. Sukhi is a famous detective. Sukhi finds that Gurbir visits a brothel every week. Akhil takes Saloni there, but they find that Gurbir only goes there to eat chicken, as the brothel served the best non-veg in town. Gurbir informs Akhil's mother of the arrangement with Saloni, as he knows that Vishni will call, and Akhil would have to leave. Saloni's own family comes with Harman with Harman's proposal to marry her. Saloni reveals to her mother that she is pregnant. As Gurbir and Akhil try to take Harman and Saloni parents to Gurbir's hotel, that when Vishni arrives with Daarji. The whole matter is exposed to the family.

During one such event, Saloni faints due to stress. She is admitted to the hospital and the doctor reveals that Gurbir's baby is not growing well but Akhil's baby is growing normally but waiting any longer to deliver the twins on the due date will result in Gurbir's baby not surviving. But performing a C-Section would put Akhil's baby in danger as well.

In this situation, Akhil makes a selfless decision to bring forward the delivery of the twin babies, since that would give both the babies a chance to survive, and Saloni wanted the kids to be together. Luckily the delivery goes well, and Saloni delivers two healthy baby girls and is fine herself.

Post delivery, when she is informed of the selfless decision Akhil made, she is touched. She asks Akhil to marry her again, which he accepts; and Gurbir gets back together with his ex-girlfriend Sejal (Neha Sharma). Sejal now eats non-veg.

In the end, the two couples decide to raise the babies together; and after some time, Saloni's restaurant also manages to win a Meraki star. Saloni's restaurant attracts a bevy of Bollywood celebrities like Ananya Pandey. Saloni's story is being made into a film with Ananya playing Saloni's character.
