Cute, heartwarming and funny
I think Single Mom's Club is a great idea for a movie. It's certainly not a blockbuster and it's definitely not a box office hit, but it's a cute movie that's probably relatable to many women; single mom or not.
There is a lot of great acting and quirky characters in this movie. Each of the 5 women have their own unique situation they are going through, and although some characters are a bit more easy to tolerate than others, they all have something about them that can be appealing. From completely helpless, to stubbornly independent, there is a spectrum of different approaches here to the idea of raising kids by oneself.
This movie is ultimately about friendship. It's about the strong bond that can be created when people of similar circumstances put aside their inherent differences and help each other. Yes, there area few plot holes here and there, and the ending is awkward and cheesy, but overall, it's a heartwarming story. A cute girls night kind of flick.

Nice Try
I was unsure going into this movie, but I generally like Tyler Perry so I decided to give it a shot. It had a lot of potential, but fell somewhat short in it's intentions. It was okay overall but he has definitely produced better work. It was filled with stereotypes as another reviewer said, but I also think it is the reality in many situations. Perry also did a good job of showing that every single mom has her own unique story, yet can relate to other women experiencing single parenthood. The best thing about this movie is the beautiful and talented Nia Long. She fit the role well and played it with grace and class as she always does. I think they could have gone in a different direction at some points in the movie, but overall, it was a good heartfelt and somewhat humorous film.
Sweet and Heartwarming Story
I really enjoyed this movie. It was funny, provided a few tears, and projected the real struggles single mothers have to deal with. It is not easy for single mothers to raise children, especially when they do not receive any financial or emotional support from the fathers....and sometimes, not from family members either. The movie pointed out these issues.
This movie showed some of the pain single mothers go through without being too harsh. The movie added jokes and silliness to soften some of the drama within the movie. I found this to be a delightful movie.
I guess the reason some of the reviewers gave the movie such low ratings was because they may have felt it was the typical Tyler Perry movie....Black church, drugs, abused women, and pain. No, this movie was nothing of the kind.
Again, a very delightful movie. Kudos to Tyler Perry.

Watchable
This is my first time writing a review so don't the judge me. Single Clubs is defiantly not Tyler Perry's best work. After watching the trailer I was convince this was going to be a funny memorable movie. Boy I was wrong. It was slow , boring and the dialogue was poor. Not even Nia Long could save it. There were a few laughs here and there I give it that but it just showcased the boring lives of five single women and there bratty kids. I took two bathroom breaks while watching it in the theater and didn't feel guilty at all. I didn't learn any mortal lesson from watching this. The only memorable performance was Terry Crew's character. Over all a forgettable film. Peach out.
Should have went straight to DVD
I thought this would be a good film, due to the cast but like many of Tyler Perry films, this fell completely flat. This film lacked any true character developments and emotions.Like all of his other films, it has so many clichés and points out obvious issues as a joke.It has a lot of stereotypes; from rich white women who can't manage their kids, poor black women that cant get a break but has to stay strong for all her kids while living in poverty, working women that are struggling both juggling their jobs and kids and of course the single mom not looking for love but finds it.This movie is so hard to watch. It seems like everything in this film is forced from the awkward flat jokes to the wannabe heart-felt moments. It seems the more movies Tyler Perry makes, the less realistic and forced they become.Maybe if this was under better direction, like all his other films needed(except Madea films, there was no help for those)these would have been great movies.
