Trivia

Masterminds

Edit
Based on the 1997 Loomis Fargo bank robbery in Charlotte, North Carolina. $17.3 million in cash was stolen.
David Ghantt, the real life subject of this movie, has a cameo. In the diner, he is sitting in the first booth by the door with a female companion when the character of David Ghantt, portrayed by Zach Galifianakis, walks in with the roses to meet Kelly to discuss the heist.
Jim Carrey was attached to play the lead role, but he dropped out and Zach Galifianakis replaced him.
The release date was postponed from August 2015 to October 2015 due to Relativity Media having financial issues. Shortly after the move, the film was cancelled indefinitely when Relativity Media filed for bankruptcy.
Kate McKinnon's character was originally named Karen. McKinnon suggested the name Jaundice to Director Jared Hess, he changing it to Jandice to make it sound more like a real name.
