  • London at Christmas time. Based on the story "The Adventure of the Blue Carbuncle" by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Holmes and Watson investigate the theft of a rare gem, the Blue Carbuncle. The clues include an old battered hat, a Christmas goose, and a comic trail of London's shopkeepers, pub owners, and poultry breeders to catch the thief. "The Blue Carbuncle" stars Mark Redfield as Sherlock Holmes, J.R. Lyston as Dr. Watson, and Carol Mason as Mrs. Hudson. Adapted and directed by Redfield, with original music and sound design by Jennifer Rouse. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's short story "The Adventure of the Blue Carbuncle" was originally published in The Strand Magazine in January, 1892. It is the twelfth Holmes story in the collection "The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes".
