I don't watch series, only short ones. I watched the Danish medical thriller , the suspenseful The Nurse in one sitting, breathlessly. After the quarantines of the pandemic, this film is particularly shocking. Who do we trust with our lives in the emergency room? A thoughtful, expertly crafted, psychological thriller that tackles many contemporary social and moral dilemmas.
The Danish acting school is renowned for its talent. Fanny Louise and Josephine Park, a duo of two nurses nicknamed the "dream team" will not leave cinema lovers indifferent. It turns out that the battle between Good and Evil can take place in a tiny provincial ambulance service, at the bedside of a sick person. I was touched by the way the director showed the dramatic choice of Good in impossible circumstances.
The mini-series is based on a true story that took place in the Danish hospital Nykøbing Falster . It is incredible that for four whole years nobody noticed the crime there.
A perfect script and impressive direction. I'll have to watch it again when emotions have run over.

What a powerful dramatization of an actual heinous series of acts. ! As found myself glued to the screen early on. Soon after came the shivers. At one point I seriously felt shakes, stomach churning and by the last scene, and ears came falling quietly down my cheeks That's how compelling writing, directing, acting. I binged entire season in one sit. Though it has been a week since it is fair to say the show still has me in its grip.
Acting performances are way above par. I saw a bit of me and bits of my friends in Christina and Pernille. I had a close friend that not only looked exactly like Christina but also bore same personality, behavioural patterns of her as well. So , retrospectively speaking , on a personal level, it was poignant experience to revisit my memories of her through Christina. Character-building is deep, multi-layered, meticulously written. Don't miss out this compelling thriller/biographical drama brought to you by trusted Danish excellence:)

The negative reviews are nuts as usual from people who don't get decent tv. Well acted, tense, doesn't go for mainstream twisting of the truth. One of the few decent programmes on netflix. People who say it was bad acting, mention the smoking scene, and that hospitals aren't like this need to get in touch with real life. They snuck the cigs and alcohol in to the hospital, it was a notoriously bad hospital anyway in a rough area, and the acting was excellent. It's a little slow in places, but a terrible true story told better than a lot of the rubbish around these days. Watch it and wonder how this could have gone on for so long.

As I don't like long series, I just only go for the 3 or 4 parts-series. In the beginning you don't know who is de bad nurse, it just unfolds.. and then.. how do you get to the arrest? It's a extreme difficult situation, as no colleague wants to listen to a bad story about a so-called well-skilled nurse. The difficulties the whistleblower had to go through, are unimaginable. The story line with some personal, family issues in between, is very entertaining, in a real life sense. The filming is still very easy to watch, still nerve wrecking. That the 'good nurse' pulled the thing through is a big miracle, and she is a hero.
Based on a true story but as a drama it had plenty of flaws. At the start it looked like it would be quite a good story but the writer kept quite close to what actually happened, and it left a very simplistic sequence of events.
By the end it felt like I'd watched a documentary, but acted out without any narration.
The family and relationship subplots were particularly weak and uninteresting. The acting was moderate, but the cast really didn't have much to help them.
Some extremely monotonous and repetitive sets. One I found especially annoying was how the protagonist almost always talked to her daughter in bed.
Disappointing, but at least it was short.
