Isaiah Fredericks in The Little Rascals Save the Day (2014)

Trivia

The Little Rascals Save the Day

Edit
The Ice Cream Delivery Man at the beginning of the movie is played by Bug Hall. He originally played the role of Alfalfa in The Little Rascals (1994)
The talent show host is named Leo McCarey , a reference to one of the earliest writers of 'Our Gang' ('Little Rascals').
This film liberally borrows gags, situations, set-ups, and plots from many of the shorts that made up the original Our Gang (Little Rascals) movie series. Some examples:
  • Anniversary Trouble (1935): The infamous hi-sign.
  • Teacher's Pet (1930): Getting kicked out of school during a party.
  • Helping Grandma (1930): Saving Grandma's business from a con man.
  • Birthday Blues (1932): Baking a cake with disastrous results.
  • Divot Diggers (1936): Getting jobs as caddies on a golf course.
  • The Kid from Borneo (1933): In a deleted scene, a parrot says the phrase "Yum, yum! Eat 'em up!"
  • Forgotten Babies (1933): The parrot says the "Remarkable!"
  • Free Wheeling (1932): Building a taxi that careens down a steep hill.
  • Came the Brawn (1938): Alfalfa fighting "The Masked Marvel" (which turns out to be Butch).
  • Mike Fright (1934): "The International Silver String Submarine Band" competing in a talent contest.
Waldo's last name is "Kaye". This is a reference to Darwood Kaye , the actor who portrayed Waldo in the original 'Our Gang' ('Little Rascals') comedies.
The kids attend Robert McGowan Elementary School, a reference to Robert F. McGowan director of several of the original 'Our Gang' ('Little Rascals') shorts.
