Rigodon is the Tagalog word derived from the Spanish word 'Rigaudon', for a type of quadrille dance 'of changing partners', which originated in the south of France (as rigadoon) and was popularized during the Spanish colonial period of the Philippines. Hence, by analogy, the maneuvering of partners, especially in politics.
