This was both fun and interesting! Just alone Bas performing with his flute was totally worth it to watch this. So was the awkward situation where everyone started to imitate Stefano. And many other moments that where truly funny. Great group, funny format and well executed. Compared to the Last One Laughing from other countries, it looks like some improvements to this format where added like the graphics that look much better. Looking forward to season 2. I hope other Dutch comedians are brave enough to join other seasons because it has potential, but it's depending on the comedians that are joining. And also the chemistry.
2 episodes in, and all I am thinking is, my gosh, this is even worse then an old fashioned Dutch style wedding in which the family and friends are doing little cringy acts on stage.
They should have put the challenge of 6 hours not laughing into 1 episode. I have a feeling they will be stretching those six hours over 6 episodes.
But yeah, this show is exactly why I don't watch regular tv anymore, besides news and some documentaries. I found this show on prime and thought it would be different then a tv show, but it isn't. Perhaps it's even worse. It's not even cosy tv. It's the epiphany of uselessness, as it doesn't even entertain. It doesn't make the audience laugh, not even smile, so why would any of the contestants?!

I binged this show in one evening. That said. I had no fun at all watching this and it seems I wasted my time waiting for the fun to start. If this is the best Dutch comedians have to offer.. Don't waste your time watching this show. There are really only a few funny moments which aren't even that funny. The target of the show is to let the other comedians laugh while they actually get banned from the room (after two times) when they do laugh. This makes for an interesting concept, but despite the interesting concept this works out, in the Dutch version at least, as a very trivial, random and not fun at all show.
Laughing is a group thing, so when laughing is forbidden for the contestants, it is like seeing a standup comedian with an impossible audience. Therefore I think it is not funny to watch. Perhaps for the comedians it is amusing, but not for me as a viewer of the show.
It would work if there was an audience watching the show. Also it would be more if a challenge for the contestants. The atmosphere at times was killing and not amusing. I have not seen the show in other countries / languages. In this format in Dutch it also does not work, because the hosts are Belgians and the contestants are Dutch.

This is the perfect example of why humour can't be forced. In the first few episodes I really enjoyed this show, but in the end you could just feel the discomfort of the contestants, which made it really hard to watch.
Nevertheless I enjoyed their creativity and the variation of acts, and the group dynamic was really funny at the beginning. I loved that every contestant was such a big personality and to me they were all funny in their own ways. Shout-out to the hilarious chemistry between Henry and Bas, and to everyone imitating the way Stefano talks.
I would definitely recommend watching this if you want to go from 'HAHAHA' to 'yikes' in a very short period of time.
