HBCU Homecomings: The Journey to the Yard explores this essence that celebrates attending a Historically Black College and University. It is the journey home. The coming back of decades to a family reunion. There's no better experience than an HBCU Homecoming. Black people travel from all parts of the world to convene at one of the over 100 HBCUs across the country - to celebrate intergenerationally and pay homage to their alma mater. Not only are HBCU Homecomings a big deal for the alumni but it's also a highlight of the year for students currently enrolled. HBCU Homecomings will explore the alumni, fans, and students convening for this annual once in a lifetime experience. Journey with alumni from seven different schools to experience a weekend unlike any other; from early morning parades to missed flights, it is all a part of this memorable journey back to the yard.
