There is just two connections to the previous films: This movie is about the same firm from the previous ones (GSE) but many years into the future and none of the original GSE from the first film appear, the other connection to the first film is the pub (location) of the GSE, which is the same from the first film and the barmaid is the sister of Terry, who runs the pub in the first film.
