One the Best Lego Games OAT

"Lego Marvel Super Heroes" (2013) marks TT Games' entry into the Marvel universe with Lego's signature approach. This game maintains the successful formula, combining action, puzzles and humor, while offering a captivating experience for Marvel fans. The engaging plot, which pits Marvel heroes against the villain Loki, is full of references and comedic moments. The impressive number of playable characters, each with unique abilities, contributes to the diversity of the gameplay. Exploring the open world of Manhattan adds an additional dimension to the narrative. The simple and accessible gameplay, characteristic of the Lego series, makes the game suitable for players of all ages. The graphics maintain the colorful and fun aesthetic associated with Lego games, while the Lego details are expertly integrated into the Marvel universe. The soundtrack is memorableand complements the game's laid-back atmosphere well. In short, "Lego Marvel Super Heroes" is a solid entry in the Lego series, providing a fun and respectful experience to the vast Marvel universe. It receives a rating of 9 for its effective execution and the way it celebrates the rich legacy of Marvel superheroes.

A Buggy Mess worse than that of a Bethesda game

When I first got this game I loved it, I had very little faults with the game and had an overall enjoyable time.

But after returning 5 years later to get the platinum trophy on the PS4 I've come to realise how much of a buggy mess this game is. With somehow being able to collect the same mini kits pushing me other the mini kit completion with many levels, many characters missing from the map preventing me from 100% the game (like the ghost rider missions which are missing preventing me to get Spiderman F.F. and Mr Fantastic F.F.) and various other bugs that can completely ruin any enjoyment.

By far the worst Lego game I've ever played which saddens me greatly to say.

Fun Lego game with an original story

It's not a perfect game, or anything amazing, but it's a really fun game. I was surprised that it was an original and not a retelling of another story, the story itself isn't anything amazing, it's still a lego game, and it's still made for kids, but if you just wanna have some fun playing a lego game, I would recommend it for you.

    A Good Fun Experience

I have a pretty big Video Game collection and there are some games that I haven't played in a while, so I thought I would go back and replay Lego Marvel Super Heroes and over the last few days I have done that and here is my review for the game. The premise of the game sees the heroes of Marvel attempt to stop a group of Super villains led by Doctor Doom, Loki and Magneto from creating a weapon that can enslave the earth.

Characters The best thing about this game is the depiction of all of these legendary Marvel characters. We play as a numerous selection of Super Heroes and it is super fun to do it. Some are akin to their Marvel Cinematic Universe counterparts such as Iron Man, Thor & Hulk, whereas some are more comic book based such as The X-Men and The Fantastic Four and it blends incredibly well and makes it enjoyable to play as all of these different characters.

The Villains are the same and are really enjoyable to go against. This game has so many bad guys and it is a joy to come across new ones each mission to fight. Similar to the heroes we have villains that are similar to the MCU such as Loki & Abomination whereas some Comic Book ones such as Magneto, The Green Goblin and Doctor Doom.

Story The story is fun, it travels to lots of different locations over The Marvel Universe and has us play as different characters, especially with some team ups you wouldn't expect. It does what the films haven't been able to do and seamlessly brings all the big Marvel Universes Together. However, it is an incredibly basic story and it isn't particularly compelling with the attraction of playing as these great characters being where it really is.

Side Activities This game is massive, it is very open world and has plenty for us to do. As you travel through the world there are a lot of mini games to play in order to unlock other characters and these range in difficulty and comes with a real reward. Though there is a lot to do, it isn't all particularly that great and feels a bit repetitive which means you probably won't even bother with most of it as I didn't.

Gameplay The gameplay is good and I was super impressed how all the characters feel different and play differently. The variation between characters such as Iron Man, Spider-Man, Hulk & Mr Fantastic is great and it keeps the gameplay fresh and forces you to work out what characters can aid with what. But, there are some clunkiness to the overall action and the controls made it hard to control some people, especially when flying.

Graphics The game looks fantastic, the Lego Marvel world is one that has been used plenty and the detail here is great. The different enemy types and locations are really well realised and the over the top Lego nature made me enjoy every mission that the characters went on.

Overall Overall, Lego Marvel Super Heroes is a good game that has so much fun for Marvel fans and Lego Fans. It has some issues but I just couldn't stop smiling as I played this and I would highly recommend giving it a go.

    Rating - 7/10.

    Another solid Lego Game

This one isn't perfect, but it's pretty good. My biggest issue is the lack of clear direction while roaming NYC once you complete the core mission. Lots to do, but it can be frustrating finding things to do. It's also geared to Iron Man and others than can fly with a lot of missions and goodies only being available to those who can get to the top of the many skyscrapers on the map. I guess this lends itself to the team concept of the game, but it leaves you out if you are trying to do everything with, say Wolverine, or Deadpool. The game play is tight and the super heroes have diverse fun powers, so one you figure out the mission is a blast. The gold standard for Lego games seems to be "Star Wars: The Complete Saga." and that was because the missions were clear and the "home" hub was familiar. This game does that with the HeliCarrier, but it can still be confusing as to what the next mission may be. Overall it's a nine out of ten. I little bit better direction around the city would give it a point to be a 10.

In one mission in the game, Nick Fury says, "And you will know I am the DJ when I lay my beats down on you!" This is a reference to the Tarantino classic, Pulp Fiction, which featured Samuel L. Jackson (who also plays Nick Fury in the Marvel movies).
