- After working abroad as a granny nanny Karin returns home early and finds her husband Harald apparently living with their neighbor, Sigrid. Karin moves out and takes over a student care center which is run by her very pregnant niece.
- Karin returns home in high spirits after her year as a granny-nanny in New Zealand. Her wanderlust is quelled for now, and she really misses her lighthouse, Harald. But she should have announced that Karin is surprising her husband with her earlier than planned with her return. After all, Harald hasn't bridged her absence entirely on her own. Her neighbor Sigrid, of all people, is caring for the widower. Purely platonic. Offended, Karin moves in with her grumpy friend Gerhard to take a break from her marriage. A new adventure is needed as a distraction - and just in time comes a call for help from Philippa's heavily pregnant daughter Annika, who is desperately looking for someone to fill in for her school shop. Undeterred by Annika's initial reservations, Karin, Philippa, and Gerhard get started right away. The fact that playing a prank is now called "pranking" isn't the only thing the experienced caregivers learn. For example, widower Gerhard learns from the sharp-tongued Aydin that it is never too late for a new love in life.—ARD Das Erste
