A person can NOT not know this is fake af from the trailer. That doesn't mean it can't be entertaining but like others I'm kinda annoyed it's listed as "reality". Even though we all know "reality" ain't reality...when you have someone in a "reality" show completely surprised by X person showing up at their door WHEN THEY ARE BEING FILMED BY 5 PEOPLE it's not "reality". That said their are now differing levels of reality whereas on my scale anyway at the very bottom are the bad ghost hunter shows. Yet even those aren't just blatent blatent fake. It's hard to describe but ya'll know what I'm gettin at.
It's a case of semantics, why they couldn't have called it something else or just plain leave out the classification I don't know but judging by the reviews they've just hurt themselves instead of being crafty.. People don't appreciate it, I don't appreciate it and I'll be damned if I know why but it's annoying.
All that said again, I got something out of it by learning of the creators other project "Mountain Monsters" through this show, I'd never heard of it and it's hilarious.
Long story short the cast IMO just doesn't work like Mountain Monsters and one thing I've learned in 1/2 century CASTING CASTING CASTING. Casting doesn't mean person A is a bad actor Casting means Person A as Person B doesn't work with Person C as Person D and so on. Sometimes you get a cast that jells totally sometimes a little and sometimes it just doesn't work.
This is the latter sadly for me and the other stupid thing of labeling it's a no.

Mountain Monsters is easily the best and most authentic Bigfoot/Alien/Cryptid/Ghost show ever made. Nothing about it was meant to be taken seriously and the boys seemed to be having a good time playing an adult version of hide and go seek out in the woods at night chasing fairy tales. Unfortunately, lead actor "Trapper" passed away and the show ended. This show attempts to recreate the magic of Mountain Monsters by relocating out west and changing the hunt from Cryptids to Aliens.
We're introduced to the cast the same way Mountain Mobsters did it: the Leader, the Rookie, etc. None have strong personalities and it's easy to confuse which guy playing cowboy dress up is which. And cowboy dress up they play: cowboys from the old west. We're talking ten gallon hats, chaps, the whole costume. They ride horses for some reason. They carry six shooters and lever action prop rifles. It's like they walked off the set of Cowboys vs Aliens. None of this is appropriate or necessary for what they do. It's only there to dupe you into believing these actors are cowboys.
Not that cowboys possess any special knowledge or skills useful for a UFO hunt. Quite the opposite I should think.
The plots are the usual debunked "mysteries": crop circles, cattle mutilations, alien possessions, etc. All appropriate for a fun guys-night-out in the woods trying to scare each other. Too bad what's missing from this show is the fun. Where the Mountain Mobsters crew were clearly enjoying themselves, this lot seems embarrassed to be there and just want to go home.
I have it five stars more for the memory of Mountain Monsters than for what this show actually is, which is not good. Five stars.

I expected to hear bad reviews from skeptics (and there are alot of you!). This compelled me to want to write a positive review since few are currently posted.
This is a new show and different than others of the same topic.
To compare this show to other predecessors is ridiculous!
Older shows have been running for years and from the beginning production, crew and cast has been on point, which makes you think they were and still are preparing with data (which are pouring in from all over the world), interviews from retired pilots, high-tech equipment which they have access too and professionals to educate. It took them years and they are still discovering.
This show is only on its 2nd season and yes, they are still working out the logistics of it and yes, the characters/cowboys are not all professionals and they do not hide it, as the introduction implies.
If you've really watched, some of the guys have been working on cattle /buffalo ranches for years (cowboys) and some are green in the field of ranching, but bring other expertise. This is where it separates from other shows of the same genre, they are not experts with high-tech equipment nor are they working with the government.
Production, cast and the crew were not prepared for the crop circles, smells, the numerous mutilated animals and the radiation they are experiencing, so yes, they are all jumpy, specially the horses who have probably witnessed these events and know by scense there is danger close, plus horses need time to get used to the new crew and all of the lights even the cowboys with their own horses and riding expertise find them hard to handle, (maybe blinders are needed).
I have caught some funny parts which are entertaining and the background sounds to hype up its a given because they are trying to hike up ratings! (New show) I particularly think some of the spooks and sounds and the reaction of the cast are legit.
People, dont tell me you've not heard of UFO's, UAP's, surgical precised animal mutilations (with no blood), crop circles, triangles, noises, lights on the ground and in the skies, cryptics, BigFoot, SkinWalkers and Native American stories passed down from generations that are now becoming facts by science. If you have not, you've been under a rock!
These events are facted based data recorded by real people who experienced this phenomenons (remember the Foo Fighter Orbs reported by pilots circa 1945?) How about fact based data from ancient times that are being discoved daily and the most recent data backed by our growing technology?
Recording any visual/audio data thru cell phones has become available to all of the WORLD and with social media it is easier to share data that we've experienced as amateurs.
This is why this show is relatable because these people are amateurs who are responding to something that they are seeing, smelling, feeling or harming them for the first time.
We may live a lifetime not ever getting close to or wanting to get close to what they are showing us. So why not experience it in the comfort of your own home.
People, use your third eye and expand your mind, there is so much out there and alot of it is unexplainable. This show is just discovering there is an audience out there that does believe and they are still exploring their potential.
People that commented on the show having no back up data did not give it a chance.
I have seen plenty of back up data (as best they can without a large budget), if you watch it, they show articles and existing public data confirming the areas in USA, and parts of the World that have been experiencing similar events.
This show is documenting on the specific areas that they are filming and collecting data they can use to understand whats happening around them in order to protect themselves, the animals on their property and to educate and record their experiences for all to see their documted amazing journey.
So give them a break, get educated, laugh, even get spooked.
Knowledge is power for us who understand the possibility of the strange happenings around us, underneath us and above us.
Believer or non believer don't speak out until you have the facts on a subject as diverse, complicated and worldly as this one.
Enough said, enjoy the show....

Fake AF, scripted AF, lame as hell. Everything about this show is fake. It's so obvious that they have people running around at night with lights, making noises, and planting fake tracks. And are they even real cowboys or did they just take a 30 day basic intro to cowboying course right before the show? They couldn't even recognize the squeal of a wild swine, and they left their horses totally alone at night tied to a small branch (of course one escaped). All these guys do is freak out, be scared of everything, and make bad decisions. This show is like ghost adventures x10 only not entertaining.
Watching this video I feel like either I need to lose intelligence to understand what they are doing, because every time they say we should not be out here at night, then the next scene is the next night, and of course they are out there by night. Is it because viewers will have an atavistic fear of what they can't see? Well they certainly dramatize the hell out of that with video that flashes from one scene to another, with lights flashing, and low frequency and high frequency sound effects worked into the sound track. Of course they are also doing that in the day time shoots, with limited camera angles and cuts from one chase scene to the next to get adrenaline worked up. If they were trying like heck to dramatizing nonsense so no-one could make heads or tails of what is happening then they achieved that, "With Bells On". They should be embarrassed.
