Set on Numen, the game explores the aftermath of a great calamity that fractured the planet and split its population into various independent nations. As Rin, you'll set off to find your father - who mysteriously disappeared after uncovering a conspiracy to starve the people of Numen. Along your journey, you'll meet and interact with a diverse cast of characters, who'll present you with choices that will shape Numen's future and Rin's place within it. Once a lush and peaceful planet, Numen was hit by a mysterious disaster 3000 years ago. The calamity fractured the planet's core, and sent its oceans floating away into the sky. The survivors of this Great Catastrophe split into various independent nations - each developing its own unique culture, customs, and innate abilities. As technology once again developed and populations came in contact with each other, conflict soon followed. With limited access to food and water, the nations began fighting for supremacy. Today, Numen is home to 9 nations, behind which hides a dense net of uneasy alliances - with religious leaders and government officials scheming to grow their own power. Players follow Rin's story, they'll also uncover a rich tapestry of lore and history - bringing the world of Numen to life and setting Sky of Tides apart from the crowd. In this game, your behavior shapes your character and the way the world responds to it. Sky of Tides' 'RPG-lite' approach is focused around a simple game loop that rewards both exploration and player choice, while keeping storytelling at the heart of the experience. As Rin, players will explore the world of Numen and find clues that help piece together the mystery. Players can then interact with other characters with meaningful dialogue options, which in turn impact Rin's personality and characters' reactions to her. With experience points players can customize Rin's character, opening up new conversational options and further impacting the way the world responds to her presence. The result is a story in which players feel like they have a tangible income on events as they Unfold.
